YOUR sites were gone for a long time.
MY ANSWER
AND some of it still is  

I FIRST WROTE AND PUT UP THIS RANT ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO 
And as they say.... Nothing ever changes. (Especially my typos, You have been warned)

I'll start here. I was robbed. Linkeasy.net was my ISP for almost three years and they simply vanished one day and took a thousand other websites with them. They didn't answer the phone or return messages left on their machine which said and it was a minor server problem they were having and everything would be back to normal soon. Well two months later their website was back up just like nothing had happened so I have officially become an IHP .

I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR THOSE x%-#!!X EVERY MINUTE I COULD SPARE AND AM STILL LOOKING THROUGH BLOCKS OF IP'S WHERE SOME UN-NAMED ENTITY PUT A BUNCH OF LOST LINKEASY WEBSITES...  BUT NOT MINE.....2 YEARS OF WORK IS STILL UP THERE SOMEWHERE.

I eventually found Linkeasy back up on the net but by that time I had been worn down. My enthusiasm for creating music and video and writing stories to go with them on my sites had been replaced with a new talent. The art of heating up like a volcano ready to pop then steaming down repeatedly at regular and rapid intervals until all that was left was absolute indifference towards my former lover. The internet is definitely a wild and lawless place filled with endless bureaucracy in the guise of security.  Security from who I keep asking her?. How about the thief who ripped my  heart out along with two years of sweat and left me stranded without a URL? Where was MY secure site, 99% uptime I had bought and paid for? How about some  justice for my real audio and animated gifs and rich text and all my hits and hyperlinks. The thing that the worse is all the incoming links that a webmaster must wheel and deal for. Once your site and it's incoming links are dead you WILL feel my pain. I worked so hard to learn how to build web bots and ad banners and maintain all my out going links alone was tough but now I will never be able to get them back again?

Back up. Look at any Host companies add and notice "Daily RAID backups". This means you are paying them to keeps your data not loose it. I thought I had the complete 55 meg website on a CDR but it was  corrupted and my machine couldn't see it which is another huge nightmare of a story in itself.  I only have just a few bits and pieces of the whole site laying around to be re-built from. What a bitch. Combine all of that with the fact that Cox Cable, AKA @HOME high speed bandwidth " isn't"  unless you use their browser and their proxy (permissions) as a (browser) skin running on top of IE 5.0 which just happens to be the real skin/shell running on top of the Windows 98SE Desktop which actually is the OS. (Operation System)  I guess they don't read the paper over at Cox because the whole damn Microsoft trial started because of the browser issue and now a year later Cox ignores it all and pretends that everybody will happily use Netscape. This means that Cox@home can't really work with Front Page and it's bullshit security settings and they all know it even though they both advertise compatibility. I mean how many operating systems and shells of shells for them can you have going at one time. 

RANT... It's become a huge endless circle of crap where most companies nowadays have altered their former guarantees to the exact opposite.  Disclaimers tell you in a lawyer speak that......
"We are not responsible for anything period.  OK? If you read this that means you agree and can never sue us, ever. OK?" It's all in their EULA's ("End User License Agreement") or what they really are to the end customer, you and me... A FOAD IS? a supposed license agreement but you must agree to it before you even open the CD's package. You must accept the deal which routinely dismisses all responsibility with the simple Standard Basic Blanket License Non Service Agreement Disclaimer that is killing me. What? I'm pissed... Nobody is responsible for any damn thing any more. Except for me and possibly you too when we are paying our bills and possibly someone else's bills and then some more always goes to pay a corps  salary which is huge because it's a reward to this particular management guy for stealing a EULA idea from the competition then copying it and implementing it's core idea because they really needed a way to cover their ass from a product that reverse engineering could not clone successfully without legal problems, no-lawsuit means no-problems period. You can't sue BEFORE you open the product This is genius. THINK... Right now we are paying them to figure out  easier ways to screw is us and they are all coved in the end buy this. It's not my work ...But it is someone's company masterpiece.

Plutocracy.  The worst part is always the waiting .To get my own domain back I was exchanging emails with InterNIC (AKA Network Solutions) daily. Just to get my contact email address changed to one that actually existed since their official one on record disappeared along with everything else that was mine. For them (and you too) when domain needs something, anything changed obviously these transactions are done in there native format, online, via e-mail of course.  So If your email of record is gone you are too. InterNIC really is just a big record book of names and numbers and a couple server's to send out this data for everyone else.  A DNS or Domain name server constantly broadcast's and receive matched up Names and Numbers (IP's) from anywhere on the internet which they store and re-broadcast until the big guy DNS "InterNIC" changes them. In a couple cases I am still waiting for them.

All this crap REALLY sucks but you asked. I apologize for whining but if you are still reading this then you are a masochist or you actually understand it all and already have or will be going through it too. You also know it's allot more complicated and frustrating that I can describe here with words. I prefer using pictures and music to tell a story and the internet was/is a great place for that artist freedom  that some people need to create but in many way it's all a  scam too. And it's not FREE. You will soon be paying much more than you think. And please tell me what is TIME worth lately?

SECURITY and support (more on the theft of that word later) is all you/I hear about lately...The powers in charge want you aware of your need to be safe. The want you to think they are keeping YOU and the American way free but the truth is just the opposite.  Please be aware now that this security is meant only for them ....meaning whom ever you deem to attach yourself securely too can then be sure that you aren't going anywhere. THE TRUTH? Security is a word covering the real motive which is always the same. Follow the money. Or better yet do this. Try and sign up at Ma Bells phone service website aka  ATT dot com with out giving them a Credit Card number to pay your phone bill online with. Try it.... (you can't)  and just think about where AT & T will be when finally the whole country is paying them direct deposits or no phone. This will be the mother of all scams and right now with the economy in great shape no one is paying attention enough or cares that AT&A is pulling this off. No other service or utility has a mandatory online payment policy period. There is no option if you want to see your accounts. You will be securely paying them after you register or sign up or join or what ever they call it this week  and then they can be sure you will be conveniently paying up forever  What a joke? No this is not but .....you go fight ..
